Victoria's oldest public square sits on the site of the original Fort Victoria, later home to the city's courthouse and jail. Cobblestones, heritage façades, and a few centuries of stories about smuggling, sentencing, and survival. Watch the video to hear how this quiet square shaped the city around it.
A sunken courtyard of heritage brick that boomed during the Klondike gold rush, when outfitters and hoteliers lined its balconies. Today it holds independent shops, a local brewery, and some of the best afternoon light in downtown Victoria. Watch the video to see how the square has been reinvented.

Tucked inside Canada's oldest Chinatown, Fan Tan Alley is the narrowest commercial street in the country; in places barely wide enough for two people to pass. Once the site of gambling dens and import shops, it's now a slice of living history. Watch the video before you slip down the alley yourself.

The postcard view of Victoria: the floodlit BC Legislature, float planes touching down on the water, buskers working the causeway below. This is the city's social and civic heart, and one of its busiest gathering points. Watch the video for a closer look at the buildings and the harbour around them.
A working harbour lined with candy-coloured float homes, fish-and-chip stands, and the occasional curious harbour seal. It's one of the most photographed corners of Victoria, and one of the most relaxed. Watch the video to see the wharf in motion before you wander the docks yourself.
The final stop on the trail, a long stone breakwater facing open water, with views across the strait to the Olympic Mountains. It's the trail's designated open-air spot, away from buildings and crowds, where you can pause and take it all in before heading home. Watch the video for a look at the view that awaits.
